A wizard shows up precisely when he means to

Let me begin with a sorry.  I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything in two freaking weeks.  (That’s like two lifetimes in internet time!)  I’m a new dad and life gets pretty tough when you’re juggling more than usual.  Hopefully though things will level out and I’ll be able to focus more time on this site.

Today I want to whet your appetite with what you can expect to read first.  A word of warning though dear reader:  This story you’ll partake in will be a raw, semi-planned, streaming consciousness first draft.  It might not be pretty but I would love for you to leave some honest, well thought out comments on each chapter I post.  I’m here to become a better writer and your constructive criticism will help me accomplish that goal.

So without further ado…

Songs In My Heart

Arwyn is the daughter of fantasy nerds Corbin and Marilyn.  She grew up living in nerd culture long before it became the acceptable norm.  Even though growing up was hard, this geek girl is proud to have been a dungeon master and a band dork.

Nine years ago she embarked on a New Zealand journey with her dad to attend a convention and to experience the full Lord of the Rings experience.  It was here that she met Bryce and had a very epic one night stand.  Little did she know, it would drastically change her life.  

She became pregnant but didn’t know how to contact Bryce since she didn’t know where he was from and they never talked much about their lives.  

Now their daughter Elaine is eight and wants to meet her real dad before her mom marries her fiancé, Kincaid.  As summer begins, Arwyn and Elaine will go on a globe spanning adventure to try and track Bryce down.  Will they find him and will he be willing to be a part of their lives?
